The 10/40 Window is a term coined by Christian missionary strategist Luis Bush in 1990 to refer those regions of the eastern hemisphere located between 10 and 40 degrees north of the equator, a general area that in 1990 was purported to have the highest level of socioeconomic challenges and least access to the Christian message and Christian resorces on the planet.
Truly, the 10/40 Window remains the darkest and most inhospitable territory to the cause of Christ and represents the greatest remaining stronghold of Satan. Such a face leaves no doubt that our challenge in reaching the unreached must center on the 10/40 Window. If we take seriously the mandate to preach the gospel to every person, to make disciples of all nations, and to be Christ's witnesses to the uttermost part of the world, we must recognize the priority of concentrating our efforts in this area. No other area is so blatantly in need of the truth that salvation is only in Jesus Christ. Yet very little missionary giving is going to reach this needy portion of the world. Will you pray and assist us financially as we face this "significant challenge?"
