Some Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect when I visit?

  As you make your way into our beautiful church building, you will be welcomed with a smile by one of our greeters. They are there for you and are more than happy to answer any of your questions. During the Sunday School hour, beginning at 9:45 AM the children gather for age appropriate classes in the church building, and the adults meet at the Wimberg Building around the corner from our property (211 E Great Creek Rd, Galloway, NJ 08205).  

    If you are coming for our 8:30am, 11am, or 5pm service, one of our ushers will help you find a seat in our auditorium. Our services include inspirational praise and worship, challenging Bible messages, and a great time of fellowship. If it is your first time visiting, you will receive a gift as a token of our appreciation. The services last a little over an hour. We're sure that you will enjoy your time with us as we worship the Lord together!

What about my Children?

     Children have a blast here at Jersey Shore! Starting from the nursery on up, there is a place for children of any age. Our clean and safe nursery is for newborn to 3 year olds. During the Sunday School hour, children can find a class that is geared just for their age group. During the Morning Service, children will be in the auditorium for a short time so they can enjoy the singing time together with their family. Just before the preaching time, children age 4 through 6th grade will be dismissed to their very own "Junior Church" service where they will enjoy singing, games, and Bible lessons just for them. Note - There is no nursery or Junior Church for the 8:30 Service.

How should I dress?

There is not a dress code at Jersey Shore Baptist Church for members or guests. Some of our ministry leaders and some of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday dress," but many people dress more casually. Our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Jersey Shore. We hope to see you soon!
